In 1764, a wooden church was moved to the village of Pershino from the village of Nikolaevskoye near the Dalmatov Monastery, and in 1765, a bell tower was added from the Kataysky Ostrog. These structures stood until 1880. In 1815, when the old wooden church began to deteriorate, the residents of the villages of Pershino, Peskov, Morozov, Savinkov, and Biserov decided to build a stone church with funds raised voluntarily. The building project was developed by provincial architect Vasilyev from Perm.

Construction of the two-story stone temple began in 1816. The lower floor was completed in 1820, and the upper floor in 1835, when the main altar was consecrated. A stone fence with marble pillars and iron grilles around the church was erected in 1873, of which the foundation and four pillars remain, where gates once hung.

In 1871 and 1891, major fires occurred in the village of Pershino, damaging the church. During repairs, small rectangular rooms were added to the bell tower, and new frescoes were created.

In 1902, a two-tiered stone rotunda with a staircase leading to the upper church was added to the church. The oak boards of the staircase have survived to this day, allowing access to the second floor. There is also another entrance to the second floor via a spiral staircase built into the wall of the building, leading to the altar.

Currently, the Intercession Church and the church watchman's house in the village of Pershino, Dalmatovsky District, Kurgan Region, are recognized as cultural heritage sites of federal significance and were transferred to the Uspensky Dalmatov Male Monastery in 2018.

Worship services in the village of Pershino are temporarily held in a prayer room set up in a house that previously belonged to the church clergy. In this house, the famous collector, local historian, and founder of the Shadrinsk Scientific Repository, Vladimir Pavlovich Biryukov, was born. The spiritual care of the local residents is provided by the steward of the Uspensky Dalmatov Male Monastery, Hieromonk Sophrony.
