Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in Ovsjanka

Фото 1
The brick three-altar church was built with funds from the local landowner S.A. Norov. Later, it underwent reconstruction, including the bell tower. The church had chapels dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and Saint Sergius of Radonezh. Architecturally, it was a single-domed octagon on a square base with a refectory and a tiered bell tower. During the Soviet period, the church was closed, reconstructed, the octagon was removed, and a woodworking workshop was placed in its building. Currently, the church is abandoned and deteriorating. In October 2015, a memorial cross was installed and consecrated near the church.
