On June 16, 1999, by the decision of the district assembly of deputies, the building of the cinema "Zarya" was transferred to the ownership of the Novoburassky parish. In 2000, the former cinema was converted into a church.
Previously, there was an Intercession Church in the village, which was closed in 1937, but its building did not survive. In 1866, a wooden church with a bell tower was built in the village of Novye Burasy, thanks to the efforts of the parishioners. The church had three altars: the main one in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the right one in the name of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, and the left one in the name of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The church staff included two priests, a deacon, and two psalmists. There were also two houses for the priests and a church-parish school.
