The village of Naguevo, located by the Golubinka River, is 7 versts from the district town of Vyazniki and 101 versts from Vladimir. According to the patriarchal salary books, the first church in Naguevo was built before 1660. These books mention a new "Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary" in the village, previously known as the village of Naguevo in the Eropolchen volost.

This wooden church stood until 1747 and became very dilapidated. Therefore, the parishioners, with the blessing of Bishop Platon of Vladimir, built a new wooden church in 1747, which was consecrated in 1749. In addition to the cold Intercession Church, there was also a warm wooden church in honor of the holy martyrs Flora and Laurus, but by 1762 it too had become dilapidated, and in the same year a new church with the same dedication was built.

In 1811, the construction of a stone temple began, and in 1815 one altar in the refectory was consecrated, in 1819 the main temple, and in 1821 another altar in the refectory. In 1891, the refectory was expanded. The church has three altars: the main one in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in the refectory, in the name of the holy martyrs Flora and Laurus, and of the holy equal-to-the-apostles Prince Vladimir. The church is well supplied with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books. The icons of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, painted in 1719, the Lord Almighty, of ancient writing, the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow," and St. Sergius of Radonezh are especially venerated. The church archive contains two consecration certificates from 1749 and 1762.

The church staff includes a priest and a psalmist. Their maintenance is provided from the income from land, grain collections from parishioners, interest capital, and services, amounting to up to 800 rubles per year. The houses of the clergy members are located on church land. The parish includes the village of Naguevo and 8 villages, where the clerical records list 738 men and 796 women. Three public schools operate in the parish: a zemstvo school in the village of Naguevo since 1888, a church-parish school at the Vyazniki station of the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod railway since 1892, and a literacy school in the village of Sergeev since 1895.
