The Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary is located in the village of Motyzleye in the Voznesensky District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. It belongs to the Voznesensky Deanery of the Vyksa Diocese, which is part of the Nizhny Novgorod Metropolis of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
The church was built in 1822 by college assessor Batashova, the owner of the village.
The church has three altars: the main one in honor of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the second in the name of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the third in the name of the venerable martyr Andrew of Crete.
The church was closed in the late 1930s, but in 1992 it was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church, and services were resumed.
