Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Morshany-Lyadovka

Фото 1
The stone church dedicated to the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1901 with funds from parishioners, replacing a wooden church erected in 1865. The temple is designed in a cross shape, with the central part being an octagon on a square base, topped with a dome-shaped roof and an onion-shaped cupola on a faceted neck. It is constructed of red brick in the style of retrospective architecture. To the east, a semicircular altar apse adjoins the square, and to the west, there is a small refectory and a four-tiered bell tower with an onion-shaped top. In 1930, the church was closed and used as a grain storage facility. In 1946, it was returned to the faithful.

Today, the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary is operational, is a monument of 19th-century architecture, and regular services are held there, despite the significant depopulation of the village.
