The village of Krasivoye, located on the banks of the Lesnoy Voronezh River, was founded in 1636-1637. The stone church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, built between 1880 and 1885 in eclectic style, replaced the old wooden church thanks to the efforts of parishioners and benefactors.

The church has three altars: the main one dedicated to the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as well as chapels for the Prophet Elijah and the Meeting of the Lord. The architectural composition of the temple is designed in the shape of a cross and includes a square base that supports a small octagonal lantern topped with a low spire and an onion dome on a slender neck. To the east, it is adjoined by an altar apse, and to the west, a spacious refectory with a gable roof and a three-tiered tent bell tower. The finishes of the square and octagon, adorned with kokoshniks, give the church a special festive appearance.

In 1936, the church was closed, and in 1990 it was returned to the faithful. Restoration work began in 2002.
