Today, the Pokrovsky Women's Monastery of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese is located here. It received the status of a monastery thanks to the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia and His Eminence Archbishop Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas on the day of the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, January 8, 2007.

This holy abode is remarkable for having undergone a difficult journey of restoration from ruins since 1993, witnessed by contemporaries. The sisters, parishioners, and benefactors worked tirelessly to revive the destroyed Intercession Church, leading to the establishment of a sisterhood in October 2000 and the acquisition of official monastery status.

The Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary was originally built in the second half of the 19th century in the estate of the famous noble family Ulybyshev. It has three altars: the main altar is dedicated to the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the right altar to Saint Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, and the left altar to the Equal-to-the-Apostles Emperor Constantine and Empress Helena. Among the relics of the monastery is a reliquary containing parts of the remains of more than thirty saints.
