The village of Vasilievskoye, according to pre-revolutionary administrative division, was located on the border of the Pokrovsky and Yurevsky districts of the Vladimir province. During the existence of the Pereslavl-Zalessky diocese, it was part of it. Information about the local church in Vasilievskoye is quite limited. It is known that until the end of the 18th century, there was a wooden church here, but exact data on the time of its construction and builders is absent. In 1792, with the funds of the village owner Mikhail Vasilyevich Mitkov, a stone church with a bell tower was built in its place. Its exterior appearance has remained unchanged, while the interior decoration has undergone several changes. The church has two altars: the main, unheated one, in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, and a heated chapel dedicated to the Archangel Michael.
