The village of Kliny was the ancestral estate of the boyars Romanov. It was owned by boyar Nikita Romanovich Yuryev-Zakharyin, the son of Roman Yuryevich Zakharyin and his wife Iuliana Feodorovna. After Nikita Romanovich, the village was managed by his eldest son, boyar Fyodor Nikitich Romanov-Yuryev. The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, which still exists today, was built in 1777 on the estate of Count Fyodor Alexeyevich Apraksin, the first leader of the nobility of Vladimir province. During the Soviet period, the church was closed.
