The church was built in 1903 by the descendants of architect V.I. Bazhenov, who owned the village. The bell tower likely stood separately. The exterior of the church with its three-apse altar resembles other churches in the Tyosh region, built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, such as those in Touzakovo and Pasyanovo. Previously, there was a wooden church with the same name on this site, constructed in 1837.
