In 1848, Countess Maria Alexandrovna Dmitrieva-Mamonova built a wooden church in the village. In 1865, the parishioners added a bell tower and an altar in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin.

In 1912, a new stone church was erected in the village with funds from the peasant community. N.V. Naryshkin mentions in his memoirs that this beautiful church in Kadyshево was built by the whole community, using the savings of N.M. Makhotin, who served as the village elder for a long time. There is a legend that during the construction of the walls, a crack appeared, causing work to be halted. Then, the engineer-builder Boris Vasilyevich Balabin, a nobleman from Kadyshево, suggested sealing the crack with smoking paper to check if the destruction would continue. The fears were unfounded, and a year later, construction resumed, resulting in the completion of the church. Unfortunately, in the 1930s, this church was destroyed.
