Filonovo is a village located in the Gorodetsky district. According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, the rural Intercession Church was recognized as an object of historical and cultural heritage. The church dates back to 1741. However, according to the Information of the State Heritage Protection Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, this order was annulled on October 20, 2014, due to the issuance of a new order.
