A beautiful temple in classical style rises on a green meadow in the center of the village of Esiplevo. The building is harmoniously integrated into a strict cube with a carefully thought-out division of all parts.

The interior walls of the church were completely adorned with frescoes. However, during the Soviet era, the Intercession Church became abandoned. Until the early 1980s, it stood empty and in ruins: the roofs had collapsed, the vaults had holes, and grass had grown through them. In the mid-1980s, restoration began to adapt the church into a library. In 1987, the project documentation was completed: the lead architect and scientific supervisor was M.M. Subbotina, and the group leader was E.Ya. Ershov, the development engineer, with O.O. Shchelokov. By the early 1990s, thanks to the efforts of the Vladimir Restoration management, the site was fully restored, tidied up, and handed over to the client, shining with ochre facades, white columns, and green roofs. However, 15 years later, the church was once again abandoned. By the summer of 2006, the Intercession Church had turned into a deserted building with broken windows, emergency facades, and leaking, partially torn roofs. From the 1980s restoration, only the wrought iron door handles and metal corners on the once restored steps of the porch remained.
