In 1900, significant changes were made in the cold stone church in the village of Vonyachka, Arzamas district. The old floors were replaced with new ones, and a new iconostasis with icons on a golden background was installed instead of the old one. The cost of the iconostasis without gilding was about 1400 rubles. Previously, the church had two altars located on the southern and northern sides, but the parishioners did not like this. Therefore, when the new iconostasis was installed, a third altar was added, placed in the center of the church, consecrated in 1900 in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin.

Last year, with the blessing of His Grace Nazarius, on November 4 and 5, the local dean, Priest Lev Grazyanov, together with other priests, consecrated the altars in the side chapels. The celebration began with a paraklesis and an all-night vigil.

On the day of the consecration of the side altar in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, the morning service and early liturgy were conducted by Priest Vasily Troitsky and Dmitry Solovyov. After the liturgy, the ringing for the water blessing began. Then the altar was consecrated, and immediately after that, Dean Grazyanov conducted the Divine Liturgy. Instead of the communion verse, Vasily Troitsky delivered a sermon, and after the liturgy, a moleben was held for Saint Nicholas.

The consecration of the second side altar in honor of the holy martyrs Cyricus and Julitta took place with the same splendor. After the liturgy, Alexey Troitsky delivered a sermon, and a moleben was performed for the martyrs Cyricus and Julitta.

Glory and gratitude to the Creator for the fact that in two years, with limited resources, it was possible to create a beautiful iconostasis, consecrate three altars, and acquire the necessary church utensils.
