The wooden church of Saint Nicholas of Myra in the village of Davydovskoye has been known since the 16th century. In the 17th century, the village belonged to the Otyaev family. In the 18th-19th centuries, there was a estate of the Otyaevs and Ilyins here. A new wooden church was built in 1712. In the 1740s, the village was owned by Colonel Ivan Vasilyevich Otyaev. His former serf, a peasant from Davydovskoye who gained his freedom and became a merchant in Moscow, Ivan Markov, erected a stone church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in 1741. It was reconstructed in 1792 and 1844, and the bell tower was built in 1741. The bell tower houses a bell weighing 128 poods, made at the factory of Anna Petrovna Zenkovich in Moscow.
