The village of Anopino was founded in 1814 by a merchant of the second guild from Sudogda, Yakov Ivanovich Barskov. In the wasteland of Onopinskaya, near the village of Zharu in the Sudogda district, he opened a glass factory that produced jugs, bottles, and other drinking vessels.

The name of the village changed from "Onopino" to "Anopino" due to the arrival of craftsmen from the Moscow province, who pronounced the letter "o" as "a."

Since 1823, the factory passed to the sons of Yakov Barskov, Prokofiy and Dmitriy. By 1914, the capital of the Barskov trading house exceeded 100,000 rubles, and more than 200 people worked at the factory. The village did not have its own church, and the residents were attached to the Church of the Intercession, located between the villages of Popovichi and Arsamaki, where there was also a cemetery.

In November 1992, an Orthodox community began to operate in Anopino. The meeting of Father Ioann, Archpriest Ivan Valentinovich Rubanovich, and the director of the glass factory, Vitaliy Nikolaevich Mironov, on November 8, 1992, became historic. They agreed to create an Orthodox community in the village.

I.V. Rubanovich arrived in Gus-Khrustalny in the early 90s and participated in the restoration of the Church of Joachim and Anna, now the Holy Trinity Church. The official registration of the community in Anopino took place in December 1992. On the Feast of the Baptism on January 19, 1993, a temporary location for the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary opened in the building of the former school gym. Residents of Anopino and neighboring Krasnoye Eho attended the services.

The family of Father Ioann played a significant role in the creation of the community. His children and Matushka Svetlana not only set an example of Orthodox living but also sing in the choir.

The church warden A.I. Berg, who is 81 years old, has lived in Krasnoye Eho since 1946 and actively helps Father Ioann. With the support of the director of OAO "Krasnoye Eho" Yu.D. Kpegga, he organizes bus trips for the faithful to the Church of the Intercession.

Workers from the Anopino glass factory carried out the main construction work in the gym building adapted for the church. The management of OAO "Krasnoye Eho" provided significant material assistance. With funds allocated by the factory directors, a "small bell tower" with five bells was brought from Nizhny Tagil. The iconostasis was painted by local artist Fyodor Ivanovich Yadritsev.

In September 1994, a Sunday school opened in Anopino, where children study the basics of the Law of God.

The residents of Anopino and Krasnoye Eho collected money for church books and utensils. Candle holders and bowls were purchased in Sofrino, Moscow region, where the artistic production of the Moscow Patriarchate is located. Icons were brought from homes, and although none of them were particularly valuable, people donated the best they had to the church. This church remained unblessed.
