The village of Adishchevo, located in the Ivashyevskaya volost on the Sendege River, had 65 households by 1870. The village had a zemstvo hospital and two factories: a paper mill owned by merchant Vasily Semyonovich Shchekoldin and a cardboard factory. In the center of the village stood the Bogoroditskaya church, built in 1784 with funds from Moscow merchant Diamid Demidovich Meshchaninov. The church was made of stone with a similar bell tower and was surrounded by a stone fence with iron grilles in front and wooden ones on the other sides. The churchyard contained a cemetery. The temple had three altars: in honor of the Feodorovskaya icon of the Mother of God, the holy apostles Peter and Paul, and all saints. The parish included two villages with 60 households, where 176 men and 206 women lived. The parish owned 35 desyatins and 1350 square fathoms of land. In our time, the temple is destroyed, and in 2008, a wooden church was built in Adishchevo. However, on November 18, 2017, a fire completely destroyed this church measuring 12 by 15 meters.
