The Orthodox faith came to the village of Adamovka with its founders, settlers from Ukraine. The first church, dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God "Kazan," was founded in 1905. According to the choir report of 1911, the building was made of adobe bricks and did not have a bell tower, and the church utensils were modest. The priest was Peter Efremovich Shalayev, the psalmist was Ivan Fyodorovich Biryukov, and the elder was peasant Philip Gavrilov. The church was also associated with prayer houses in the villages of Kameneckoe, Novoumanskoe, and Novovinitskoe. Later, a wooden church was built near the department store, but by the mid-1930s it was destroyed. Only by the mid-1990s did the residents of Adamovka decide to restore the church. In 1995, Gennady Egorovich Ushakov and the late Lyubov Petrovna Voznesenskaya appealed to Metropolitan Leonty in Orenburg for a blessing to recreate the parish. Preparatory work continued until April 29, 1999, when the founding meeting took place. Due to the lack of archival data on the previous name of the church, it was decided to create a local religious Orthodox organization, the Parish of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Vyacheslav Genadievich Kochkin became the chairman of the Parish Assembly. The charter and the minutes of the meeting were approved by Archbishop Valentin in September 1999, and in October the parish was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the Orenburg region. Work began on the revival of Orthodoxy in the Adamovsky district. The first prayer meetings were held in the red corner of the Adamovsky Raip. In April 2000, a store on May Street was allocated for temporary accommodation, where parishioners made repairs and built an altar. On November 16, 2001, priest Dmitry Solonin served the first Divine Liturgy. In 2003, a project for a new church was completed, and in 2004 its construction began. On August 28, 2005, priest Dmitry Solonin performed the rite of laying the church. On August 3, 2006, the first rector was priest Vyacheslav Kochkin. On November 4, 2006, Metropolitan Valentin consecrated the dome with the cross. In 2007, finishing works began, and in 2008 the construction of the bell tower was completed. On October 5, 2008, nine bells were consecrated and raised, the largest weighing 700 kg. On March 10, 2009, a baptismal church was laid in honor of Saint Theodore of Sanaksar. On January 17, 2010, Metropolitan Valentin performed the great consecration of the church. In the fall of 2011, the construction of the All Saints cemetery chapel began. In 2011, the Orsk diocese was created, and the parish became part of it. On April 1, 2012, Bishop Iriney held the first service in the church. A significant part of the funding was provided by LLC SP "Adamovskaya PMK-2," with assistance from local enterprises and entrepreneurs, as well as local residents. Church life is not limited to the church's boundaries. The church has a library, collections of Orthodox periodicals, an audio library, and a video library. The church houses relics: particles of the relics of Saint Luke, Saint Theodore of Sanaksar, Archimandrite Alexander, and others. There are also icons of Saint Panteleimon, the Iveron icon of the Mother of God, and the icon of the Royal Martyrs. Currently, work continues on landscaping the territory and finishing the church complex. The Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary has become a hallmark of the district, and the parish does everything possible for residents to freely confess their faith and engage with the spiritual values of the Russian Orthodox Church.
