The Intercession Church is a winter stone temple without columns, featuring one apse and one dome. It was built in 1848-1850 with funds from local merchant Maria Ivanovna Posylina. Currently, the church has been restored and was re-consecrated in 1993 by episcopal ordination. This is the winter church of the monastery, where services, memorials, night vigils, and readings of the unceasing Psalter are held. Worship takes place on festive days.

The Intercession Church has brick walls that are plastered and painted. The roof and the covering of the dome are made of iron. The architecture of the temple combines late classicism forms with eclectic elements of ancient Russian style. The main volume of the building, elongated along the main axis, features a blind cylindrical drum with an onion-shaped dome. On the eastern side, there is a lowered and narrowed rectangular altar with a small apse, while on the western side, there is a narrow refectory with an even lower vestibule. The facades are adorned with pilasters with a cornice, an arcature-columned belt of the drum, wedge-shaped archivolts of arched niches, and shelf-like bands at the base of the window piers. The interior space of the square is covered with a vaulted ceiling, the refectory has a box ceiling, while the altar and vestibule have flat ceilings.
