Sormovsky Proletarian is a settlement, previously known as the Sormovsky Proletarian state farm, located in the Bor district, which is now part of the city district of Bor. According to the order of the Department of Historical and Cultural Heritage Protection of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the church from the second half of the 19th century in this settlement was recognized as an object of historical and cultural heritage. However, order 5-OD was revoked on October 20, 2014, by order No. 159, as reported by the Department of State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

According to information provided to the project by Olga Sukhareva, as well as Andrey and Tatyana Pavlov, the settlement includes the former village of Kovrovo, where the cemetery church of Peter and Paul, dated 1785, is located.
