The village of Kislovsky is located 72 versts from Yekaterinburg, on the banks of the Kamyshenka River, and 25 versts from the "Bazhenovo" station of the Perm-Tyumen railway. The name of the village is associated with the nickname "sour," given to the first inhabitants of this area. The exact date of the establishment of the Kislovsky parish is unknown, but it is over 150 years old, as the first church was built in 1746.

Initially, the parish population consisted of indigenous people, who gradually mixed with settlers from various provinces of Russia. Today, there are state peasants, Orthodox Christians, numbering 1800 men and 1769 women. The main occupation of the residents is agriculture, as well as earning money in Yekaterinburg, at factories and mines, and transporting goods between Yekaterinburg, Irbit, Ishim, and Petropavlovsk during fairs. The parish also includes the villages of Kungurskaya and Sokolova.

The first church in the village of Kislovsky, dedicated to the holy apostles Peter and Paul, was wooden and built in 1746 with the blessing of Metropolitan Antoniy of Tobolsk. The second church, made of stone, was erected in 1832 thanks to the efforts of the parishioners and a local peasant, Moisey Tikhonovich Melnikov, who donated his entire fortune for its construction. The church was consecrated in 1846 by Bishop Arkadiy of Perm and initially had one warm chapel in the name of the Meeting of the Lord.

In 1878-1879, the parishioners expanded the church by adding two warm chapels: the southern one, consecrated in 1879, retained the name of the Meeting of the Lord, while the second, in the name of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, was consecrated in 1882 by Bishop Modest of Yekaterinburg.

The iconostasis of the main church is four-tiered, adorned with gilding and carvings. The interior walls are painted with oil paint, featuring paintings in the altar and the main part. In the chapels, the walls are plastered and whitened, while the altars are painted with glue paint. The exterior of the church is plastered, whitened, and covered with iron. In 1888, the royal gates were replaced with new ones, local icons were rewritten, and the gilding of the iconostasis was cleaned. The church is decorated with wall paintings, and its highlight is the altar silver cross from 1788.

In addition to regular services, two processions are held in the parish: on August 6 to the cross at the site of the former wooden church, sold to the village of Ulugushskoye in the Shadrinsk district, and on the day of the Ascension to the cross in the village of Kungurskaya. Since 1886, a church-parish school has been operating in the village, which has its own building. It was closed in 1937 and reopened in 1990, and it is currently functioning.
