The village of Korovaevo, also known as Karavaevo, is located 55 versts from Vladimir and 29 versts from the district town of Pokrov. Around 1730, the local landowner Dmitry Afanasyevich Kuzmin-Korovaev built a stone church here. In 1864, another stone temple was constructed in Korovaevo with funds from the local nobleman Count N.P. Apraksin. This temple has two altars: the main one, consecrated in honor of the holy apostles Peter and Paul in 1864, and the side altar, consecrated in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker in 1889.

Both churches are well equipped with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books. Church documents are kept in full order: copies of the metric books have been maintained since 1802, and confession lists since 1828. The clergy consists of a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist. Their maintenance is ensured by income from arable and hay land, amounting to up to 100 rubles, grain collection, up to 100 rubles, interest capital, 76 rubles, as well as from services and sacramental corrections, up to 1240 rubles, totaling over 1500 rubles per year. The clergy members have their own houses on church land. The parish includes the village itself and 11 other villages, where the clerical records list 1290 men and 1450 women. There is a church-parish school operating in Korovaevo.
