The church in the village of Serenovo was founded in 1797 and includes three altars: of Saint Great Martyr Paraskeva, Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the Sign of the Mother of God.

The church owns 36 desyatins of land. Its parish includes eight villages: Serenovo, Vasilevo, Yuryatino, Sloboda Yakovlevskaya, Sosnovets, Ignatovo, Pochaev, and Matorenino. In total, the parish has 125 houses, where 442 men and 475 women reside.
