Goose, also known as Velikodvorye or Parakhino, was separated from the village of Velikiy Dvor and is mentioned in the tax books of the Old Ryazan district from 1676 as a village with the Church of the Resurrection of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ. In the documents of the poll tax collection of 1681 and in the report on the number of churches in the Ryazan diocese for 1735, the church in the village of Goose is also referred to as the Resurrection Church.

Meanwhile, the estate manager of landowner Alexander Fyodorovich Uvarov, ensign M.P. Rykov, in his petition to His Grace Simon dated December 7, 1790, wrote that there was a wooden church in the village of Goose in honor of the Great Martyr Paraskeva, which had become very dilapidated and was almost impossible to enter. Therefore, he requested permission to build a new wooden church on the same site with an altar dedicated to Archangel Michael. In accordance with Rykov's request and the attached letter from Major General A.F. Uvarov, the Consistory's journal decision on April 29, 1791, allowed Rykov to begin construction of the new church. In 1792, Rykov submitted a petition for the consecration of the newly built church in honor of Martyr Paraskeva with an altar dedicated to Archangel Michael and for the issuance of a new antimins. Later, a Christ-Birth altar was built at this church.

From Rykov's request for the consecration of the new church in Parakhino, it is evident that the iconostases and icons were transferred from the old church. In September 1810, the clergy of the Friday church and the elders of the villages requested permission from the diocesan authorities to dismantle the iconostases in the Friday church and install them more securely, as they had tilted and could fall. They also requested permission for the restoration of the faded and damaged icons, which was approved.

However, due to a lack of funds, the parishioners delayed the repairs, and the Consistory appealed to the Provincial Administration to expedite this process. If the church was not subject to repair, it was suggested to find out from the parishioners whether they would like to build a stone church or join another parish. The Provincial Administration instructed the Kashin district court to gather the necessary information. The court's response and the further development of the case regarding the repair of the Friday church are unknown, but in 1866 it was renovated and significantly expanded.

The beginning of the 18th century turned out to be unfavorable for the Parakhin parish. On September 11, 1702, by the order of the metropolitan, elder priest Ivan inspected the households in the village of Goose, as priest Anikey complained that the peasants had scattered to different places. According to his report, there were two landowner households in the village, 25 peasant households, and by 1735 only 8 households remained.
