According to the "State Lists of Historical and Cultural Monuments of the Nizhny Novgorod Region", there is a monument of urban planning and architecture of regional significance in the village of Dokukino, a church dated to the 19th century.

According to information provided to the "Places of Memory-2013" project by Dina Korotaeva, this is a temple dedicated to the holy martyr Paraskeva. Initially, there was a chapel in Dokukino in honor of the holy martyr Paraskeva, which was affiliated with the Assumption Church. In this place, as in the Assumption Church, there was a legend about a girl who found an icon at the edge of a ravine. In memory of this event, a chapel was built. Over time, it fell into disrepair, and according to local residents' memories, in 1920, a wooden church of the cross type with a bell tower was acquired and transported from the village of Pokrovsk.

The church was modest in appearance, but its feature was the church choir, which sang on a specially arranged balcony under the dome. In 1939, the church was closed and converted into a club.
