The village of Bukaley is located in the Buturlin district. According to the order of the Department of Historical and Cultural Heritage Protection of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, the Friday Church in this village was recognized as a historical and cultural heritage site. The church dates back to 1871. However, according to the information from the State Heritage Protection Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the action of order 5-OD was terminated on October 20, 2014, by order No. 159.
