On June 13, 2012, Bishop Pavel of Khanty-Mansiysk and Surgut conducted a Divine Liturgy at the Church of St. Panteleimon the Great Martyr and Healer in the village of Tundrino, Surgut District. This was his first episcopal service in the oldest church in Yugra.

The church in Tundrino was built in 1894. Documents from 1897 state that "the church was built by the efforts of the parishioners, made of wood, connected to the bell tower, new, with one chapel in the name of the Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon." It is located on a high bank, where before the revolution there were about 2000 households, on the wide floodplain of a tributary of the Ob River. Nearby is a cemetery. The name of the architect is unknown.

During the Soviet era, the church building was used as a grain storage facility, a club, a warehouse, and for some time it housed a library and a small cinema. However, the villagers always remembered the church. Reconstruction, according to project documentation, began and was completed in 1997-1998. The exterior of the church has now been restored. During the work, a church book from the 19th century, a Typikon published in Moscow by the Synod printing house in 1877, was found under the floor.

The church in honor of St. Panteleimon the Great Martyr and Healer in Tundrino, miraculously preserved, is an example of traditional wooden architecture of Siberia. Built on a high bank of the Ob River, it dominates the village and is a true adornment of these places. The small but remarkably harmonious and bright church delights the parishioners.

The church was restored by the administration of the Surgut District of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug as a monument of wooden architecture and was consecrated on December 20, 1998, by Bishop Dmitry of Tobolsk and Tyumen.
