The brick church, built in 1996, is a square structure topped with an eight-domed cupola with a bell tower, featuring an altar and a narthex.

In the 1890s, the Morozov factory owners constructed a church in the settlement of Gorodishche, dedicated to the Dormition of the Mother of God. In 1922, the church in the factory settlement was closed and converted into a club. Later, during the Soviet era, the Dormition Church was completely destroyed, and civil buildings appeared in its place.

In 1994, the Dormition parish was restored. At the request of the faithful and with the permission of local authorities, in 1995, a wooden building of the village library was transferred and converted for the church. The first rector was the abbot, now archimandrite, Abel Urgalkin. That same year, the church was consecrated by Archbishop Evlogy.

In 1999, the construction of a new church began, with walls being built around the old one. The main benefactor was the Gorodishche finishing factory under the leadership of Pyotr Vasilyevich Shcherbakov. The construction was completed in 2007, and since then, services have been held in the new church. By the blessing of Archbishop Evlogy, the church and parish were renamed in honor of the Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon.
