In 1989, the administration of the Kalininsky district transferred a merchant mansion built in the 19th century for the church. During the Soviet years, this building housed a branch of the Savings Bank of the USSR. Despite its age, the building has remained in satisfactory condition. The church was consecrated on January 29, 1989, by a priestly order, and the altar is dedicated to Saint Olga, the Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess.

The church is associated with: the church in honor of the Venerable Seraphim of Sarov in the village of Talovka, the church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Kolokol'tsevka, the church in honor of the Holy Unmercenaries and Wonderworkers Cosmas and Damian in the village of Bolshaya Olshanka, as well as a chapel in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Sergievka in the Kalininsky district.
