Built in 1818 with funds from parishioners, the church is a stone building with one dome and a tiered bell tower. It houses two altars: one dedicated to St. Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, the Wonderworker, and the other to the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos. Special veneration was given to the icon of St. Mitrophan, Bishop of Voronezh, which contains a relic of his holy remains.
