The church in the village of Zubaryovo was founded in 1820. It has three altars: in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, St. Sergius of Radonezh, and St. Leontius of Rostov the Wonderworker.

The church land occupies 36 desyatinas. The parish includes seven settlements: Zubaryovo, Shakhmatovo, Gorodishcha, Kutnikovo, Bolshoye Khvastovo, and Laskovo. There are a total of 105 houses, inhabited by 373 men and 416 women.
