According to the register of country estates in the Nizhny Novgorod region, there was an estate belonging to Prince N.G. Shakhovsky. The owner of the village, Prince N.G. Shakhovsky, organized a home theater for performances in his house, and later at the Makaryev and Nizhny Novgorod fairs. At the end of the 18th century, he moved the theater to Nizhny Novgorod, which allowed for the opening of the first public city theater there in 1789. After the prince's death, the village passed to Actual State Councilor N.A. Naschekin, who freed the peasants in 1861. By 1874, the lands of the village belonged to landowner Chirkova.

The church, which is a monument of urban planning and architecture, has altars: the main, cold altar of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, and a warm chapel of St. Sergius of Radonezh.

The object dates back to the 19th century. According to the "Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese," it is mentioned in 1772. The document granting the status was issued on April 24, 2000, under number 5-OD.
