In the village of Uvarovo stands the Nikolskaya Church, built in 1857 and recognized as a monument of federal architectural significance. The height of the building is 40 meters, making it a dominant element of the local landscape.

The architecture of the church is executed in the cross-dome style with five domes, reflecting the traditions of Eastern and ancient Russian architecture. The zakomaras with pryasla also support this tradition. However, the external decorations and tall narrow windows add an eclectic element characteristic of the mid-19th century. There is no separate bell tower; the belfry is located in the right front tower, accessible by a narrow spiral staircase. The building symbolizes the material wealth and traditional Russian 'piety' of the village residents, while also demonstrating exquisite artistic taste and the architect's skill.

The church was closed in the 1930s but was restored in the 1990s with funds from Ryashit Bayazitov, an honorary patron of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese, and consecrated by Metropolitan Nikolai, the head of the Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas Diocese.

The church is recognized as a monument of regional architectural significance.
