Previously, there was a wooden church in the village, built by parishioners in 1879-1880. It had two altars: the main, cold one dedicated to Saint and Wonderworker Nicholas, and a warm chapel in honor of the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord.

The church land included 2 ½ desyatinas of homestead and 71 desyatinas of arable land. The clergy consisted of a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist. There was a public house for the priest, while the deacon and psalmist had their own houses built on church land. The salary from the treasury was: 300 rubles for the priest, 150 rubles for the deacon, and 100 rubles for the psalmist.

In the village of Trusleyka, there were 1,097 men and 1,180 women living in 333 households, among them 211 men and 246 women who were schismatics. The church parish guardianship has been active since 1879. There was also a zemstvo school opened in 1853.

The church was restored in 2002.
