In the 18th century, a wooden church with one altar in honor of St. Nicholas stood on the site of the current church. In the early 19th century, it burned down along with its icons and old documents. In 1810, parishioners built a stone five-domed church with two altars: in honor of St. Nicholas and St. Dmitry of Rostov. At the same time, a stone tent-like bell tower was erected.

The church remains cold and has preserved its original appearance without significant changes. The iron eight-pointed crosses on the domes of the church are adorned with crescents. Inside, there is a new six-tiered iconostasis with columns and carvings in the Rococo style, and the walls are painted.

Peasant Sibirev financed the construction of two stone buildings at the corners of the western fence, a charitable institution and a church watchman's house. In 1867, he also built a new stone bell tower using materials from the dismantled charitable institution and watchman's house. In 1868, the bell was transferred to the new bell tower, while the old one retained only the watch bell.

Church documents have been preserved intact: copies of the metric books since 1803, confession lists since 1829, and an inventory of church property compiled in 1880. The church owns 1 desyatina 978 square fathoms of homestead land, 4 desyatinas 2008 square fathoms of haymaking land, and 27 desyatinas 2186 square fathoms of arable land. All land documents are kept in the church. The clergy consists of a priest and a psalmist. The annual income of the clergy is about 700 rubles in silver, including interest from the church ticket, income from land, and collections of bread and sacramental offerings.

The priest lives in his own house, while the psalmist lives in rented accommodation. The parish includes the village and the villages of Malaya Storona, Mochalniki, Protasovo, and Viltsevo, located no more than 4 versts from the church. The parish has 212 households, 614 men, and 686 women. There is a zemstvo public school in the village, located in a building constructed with public funds, which includes accommodation for the teacher.
