The Pokrovskaya Uniate Church in the village of Temta was wooden, standing on a stone foundation and had a similar bell tower. It was built in 1845 with funds from the Department of Estates. The fence around the church was wooden, and the cemetery was located outside the village and was also enclosed by a wooden fence. The temple had one altar and was dedicated to the Protection of the Mother of God. It was located 350 versts from Kostroma and 5 versts from the village of Urenya. The nearest churches were the Three Saints Church in the village of Urenya 5 versts away, the Nikolayevskaya Church in the village of Goreva 9 versts away, as well as the Trinity Church in the village of Karpova and the Transfiguration Church in the village of Yelkhovki 16 versts away. The church was lost in the early 1960s.
