The Nikolskaya Church in Pronsk was abolished. In the supplementary books of 1597-1598, it is mentioned as the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the Cossack sloboda. The description states that the church housed icons, candles, books, bells in the bell tower, as well as all church property belonging to the parishioners. Surrounding the church were the yards of: priest Gavrilo, deacon Stepan, the sexton, prosphora baker Nastasia, and 10 cells where the poor lived, who were fed by the church.

The Nikolskaya Church was associated with 12 quarters of church arable land. The same books mention that in the Cossack sloboda in the Ivanov hundred, there were 101 yards with 103 residents, in the Dmitriev hundred of Molchanov there were 73 yards, and in the hundred of Nenash Kolishkin, the yard of the centurion and 56 Cossack yards.

According to the scribal books of 1640, the Nikolskaya Church had an altar of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Two priest's yards, the yard of deacon Yakushka Fomin, the yard of sexton Mishka Ivanov, the cell of the prosphora baker, and church peasant yards are mentioned. The church arable land in the Cossack field amounted to 1 quarter with a third and 10 quarters with the cathedral priests through the tithe.

According to the same scribal books of 1640, there were 86 yards with 157 residents and 3 peasant yards in the Nikolskaya sloboda. The lands belonging to the sloboda amounted to 3521 quarters in the field and 3521 stacks of hay.
