The village of Staroe Ivanzevo is located in the Shatkovsky district, and the local school building houses a museum of Erzya culture. According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, the village's Nikolskaya Church was recognized as an object of historical and cultural heritage. The church dates back to 1843. However, according to the data from the State Heritage Protection Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, order 5-OD was revoked on October 20, 2014, by order No. 159.
