Sarminsky Maidan, a village in the Voznesensk district, is home to a monument of urban planning and architecture, the Nicholas Church. The church features a main cold altar dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, as well as warm chapels: the right one in honor of the martyrs Flora and Lavra, and the left one dedicated to the icon of the Vladimir Mother of God. The site dates back to 1839 and the early 20th century and is under state protection with the number 471.
