The Nikolaevskaya Church in the village of Nikolskoye-on-Strelna is built of stone and has a bell tower made of the same material. Construction began in 1782 and was completed with the consecration taking place: the warm part on December 7, 1788, and the cold part on December 7, 1794. The church was erected thanks to the efforts of Count Gavriil Ivanovich Golovkin and the parishioners. Surrounding the church is a stone fence with an iron roof, and the cemetery is located inside this fence. The church has two altars: in the warm part in honor of St. Nicholas, and in the cold part, in honor of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God.

The iconostasis in the cold part of the temple is made in the Rococo style, corresponding to the time of construction, has five tiers, and was fully gilded with red gold in 1908, at which time all the icons were rewritten with gold embossing. On the sides of the temple, in the back, wooden choirs are located in niches. In the altar on the throne is a silver gilded ark with enamel elements and an inscription: "This ark is donated in memory of the visit to the holy temple by His Excellency Alexander, Bishop of Kostroma and Galich, on June 21, 1887." There is also another silver ark with embossing from 1794 and a third one, decorated with cloisonné images.

The large-format Gospel on the altar in a silver cover was printed on November 14, 1735, during the reign of Empress Anna Ioannovna. The book has an inscription: "This book, the altar Gospel newly corrected, was purchased from the Yaroslavl province, from the Zakotorozhsky district of the village of Nikolskoye, which is on Strelna, for the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker." On the front page, there are 12 scenes from the Lord's Passion, and in the center, the Resurrection of Christ with various printed inscriptions in verse. Under the image of the resurrection, it is written: "What the soldiers' swords guard; for Christ the Son of God will overcome all with the cross." Poetic sayings are also present under the images of the evangelists. Another altar Gospel in a silver gilded cover with round medallions for the four evangelists and the risen Christ was printed on July 5, 1847. A small silver vessel with gilding has an inscription on the edges of the bottom: "In the year 1760, on the 6th day of December, in memory of our holy father Nicholas of Myra the Wonderworker."
