The building, erected in 1895, is a wooden structure on a brick ribbon foundation. The roofs were added later, they are high and covered with iron. The facades are clad in planks, and the window sills are vertically clad and decorated with square panels along the axes of the windows. The window frames are styled in a Baroque manner, and above the windows are decorative cornices. The windows are traditionally placed, with arched lintels, and the clerestory windows in the square are slightly smaller than the lower ones. The eastern window of the apse and the northern one in the bell tower are false. The corners of the building are framed with smooth pilasters.

The upper part of the walls is adorned with a frieze featuring carved overlay elements. The cornice with a rectangular profile is decorated with a carved toothed pattern. The top of the bell tower facades is finished with profiled slats, creating a three-bladed completion.

The wooden porches, consisting of 5-6 steps, were covered with gabled roofs with a raised flat ceiling. The ridge of the gabled roof in the center is braced, and the outlines of the pediments match the cornices of the windows. On the sides, the porches are decorated with a carved fence. The side entrance doors, tall and panelled, had a glazed rectangular lunette, while the western door was glazed halfway up.

In the interior, the walls are plastered, with some areas retaining stretched profiles, but the furnishings and finishes have not survived. The object is in unsatisfactory condition.

The overall dimensions of the building are 30.0 x 9.0 m.

During the Soviet era, the church building housed a club and was under the management of the Ulyanovsk state farm in the Sursky district.

Currently, the building is in a neglected state. The process of the church's destruction can be traced through photographs that are almost 40 years old. The Ulyanovsk region's Committee for Cultural Heritage has organized a state historical and cultural examination to address the issue of including the object in the register of historical and cultural monuments. Requests have also been sent to state archives to search for historical and archival materials about the building.
