In February 1907, the project for an Orthodox church was approved, with construction led by the famous Samara architect A. A. Shcherbachev. By November 1908, the church was built through the efforts of the parishioners, and in 1909 it was consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The church was a single-altar, wooden, cold structure and had a bell tower. The village also had two Old Believer prayer houses, a church parish school, a mechanical mill, and three windmills. In 1913, an independent Orthodox parish was established in the village, with a priest and a psalmist appointed. At that time, the parish included 50 households, 144 men, and 149 women.

By 1926, the village had 248 households, 540 men, and 637 women. A 1st grade school began operating based on the old parish school. The Orthodox and Old Believer churches, as well as the prayer houses of the Old Believers, were closed during the anti-religious campaigns. In the mid-1960s, due to the construction of the Saratov Hydroelectric Power Station and the formation of the Saratov Reservoir, the village of Ozinki found itself in a flood zone and ceased to exist.
