The church in honor of St. Nicholas in the village of Novolikeevo, Kstovo district, was built in 1891. Initially, it was a wooden building on stone pillars, and a separate wooden bell tower was constructed in 1906. The church had one altar dedicated to the feast of the "Entry into the Temple of the Most Holy Theotokos." Later, the building was reconstructed in stone and consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker of Myra. In 1938, the church was closed, and documents from 1944 indicate that it was dismantled and used as a warehouse.

In 1998, the Orthodox community of Novolikeevo was given a store building to establish a prayer house. Thanks to the efforts of the parishioners, the building was converted for church services and consecrated by a priest. Since then, regular services have been held in the prayer house since February 16, 1999.
