The ensemble is located on the largest island of the Holy Swamp, situated in its northern part. There are two roads leading to the island: one from the abandoned village of Knyazkovo, and the other from the abandoned village of Zhukovo. The roads through the swamp used to be on wooden walkways, which are now destroyed. The ensemble includes the church itself, a brick fence with holy gates, a brick watchman's hut, and a storage room. Some graves have survived in the cemetery. In the early 80s, they were still maintained, but now there is complete tranquility. A modern memorial cross has been erected on the island. Recently, tourists often come here, staying at the old shepherds' camp. In the 70s and 80s, the island was used as pasture. All the churches in this area are dedicated to Nicholas the Wonderworker, who is a locally venerated saint. The church is distinguished by its beauty and originality; it is built very well, allowing it to withstand natural elements. It is still possible to climb quite high to the bell tower. Previously, when it was possible to reach the very top, there was a stunning view of the swamp, and through binoculars, one could see Chukhly.
