The wooden church, built in 1899 with funds from parishioners, is unheated. It has two altars: the main one dedicated to the Holy Trinity and a side altar dedicated to Saint Seraphim of Sarov. The parish was established in 1847.

The parish includes 361 households, with 1,746 men and 1,724 women, all of whom are Great Russians engaged in agriculture. Each household has 11 fathoms of land in each field. The parish comprises two villages: Chepir-Elatomskie Dvoriki and Nikitinskaya, Pozdnyakovka, located 6 versts from the church. A small hamlet belonging to the noblewoman Alexandra Plonskaya is situated 2 versts from the church. Nearby flows a small river, Alabushka.

The parish has a church school and a zemstvo school. The law teacher earns 50 rubles a year for his work in the zemstvo school. There is also a credit society and a temperance society. An inventory of church property and metric books has been maintained since 1848.
