The brick church in eclectic style was built between 1871 and 1879. It was a temple with a tent-shaped dome and a three-tiered tent bell tower, with side chapels dedicated to Metropolitan Alexius and Simeon the Stylite. In the mid-1930s, the building was dismantled for bricks, and a cinema called 'Yunost' was constructed in its place. In 1997, the cinema building was converted into a church, and decorative domes were installed on it.
