The village of Luchinskoye is located by a pond, 13 versts from the district town and 115 from the provincial capital. From the early 17th century until 1764, it belonged to the Pereslavl Nikitsky Monastery. In the early 17th century, there was a wooden church in Luchinskoye dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, but by 1829 it had fallen into disrepair and collapsed.

A new church was built only in 1714, and until then, there was just an empty church site in Luchinskoye. The newly constructed church was also consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. In 1780, a new wooden church with the same dedication was erected in its place.

In 1818, a stone temple with a bell tower was built on the site of the wooden church, which still exists today. It has two altars: in the cold part, in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, and in the warm chapel, in the name of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos. The church is well supplied with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books. The documents are kept in order: copies of the metric books since 1780, confession lists since 1820. There is no own clergy at the church; services are conducted by clergy from the villages of Nasakino and Tverdilkovo. Their maintenance comes from: arable and hay land up to 200 rubles, from services and requests up to 160 rubles, totaling about 360 rubles per year.

The church lands include 1 desyatina 1050 square sazhen of homestead land, 29 desyatins 1133 square sazhen of arable land, and 6 desyatins 600 square sazhen of hay land; there is no plan or land survey book for the land. The parish consists of the village of Luchinskoye and the village of Kuryaninovo, where according to clerical records, there are 216 men and 204 women, all Orthodox.
