Lesunovo, a village located in the Sosnovsky district, is home to a monument of urban planning and architecture, the Nicholas Church. This site dates back to 1893 and has a document of acceptance for state protection under number 471. According to the "Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese" from 1904, the stone church in Lesunovo was built on the site of a wooden one that existed since 1795. The main altar of the church is dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the chapel is dedicated to St. John the Theologian.
