Church of Nicholas the Wonderworker in Kurilovo

Information that merchant Sergey Nikolaevich Sorokin participated in the construction of the temple is likely erroneous, as he had long since passed away by that time. It is more probable that his son Nikolai was involved. According to the "Yaroslavl Diocesan Gazette" from 1910, it is known only that the funds for completing the church's construction in 1910 were allocated by a merchant woman from Solvychegodsk, Pavla Stepanovna Palamodova. She bequeathed them to the Synod for church construction, and they were used for the problematic site in Kurilovo. The construction of the church likely continued according to a modified project. As a result of this architectural approach, possibly the only church in the Yaroslavl province in the neo-Russian style was created, completed in 1913 and preserved to this day.
